Computational Structural Mechanics Association (CSMA)
The french computational structural mechanics association is the main association organizing and supporting the congress.
Structural Analysis is a field of research and industrial applications in full development. Its purpose is to model and simulate numerically the behavior of materials and structures in their environment. At the same time, the constant and very rapid evolution of computer hardware and software allows the taking into account of complex structures with more and more sophisticated behaviors.
A French scientific group was formed around this theme in 1985 with the aim of promoting exchanges and collaborations between several academic and industrial research teams. In 1990, this scientific grouping became an association, the CSMA, which is affiliated to the French Association of Mechanics (AFM), the European Council of Computational Mechanics (ECCM) and the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IAC).
