Department of Systems Innovation

hy Seiichi Koshizuka is a professor of the University of Tokyo from 2004. His research subjects are particle method, computational fluid dynamics, visualization, verification and validation etc. He has been developing Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method which is one of the meshless methods for incompressible viscous flow with free surfaces. The MPS method is commercialized in a venture company where he is one of the board members. The commercial software using the MPS method is now applied to various problems in industries. He received Kawai Medal from Japan Society for Computational Engineering and Science (JSCES) in 2010 and served as President of JSCES from 2014 to 2016. IACM Fellows Award was given to h im in 2018. He is a member of General Council of IACM
